Jacob Emrey was born in San Francisco, California, and since then has lived almost entirely in the North Bay, with one exception, his time in the United States Marine Corps. He joined the Marines right after high school, and became part of the HMX-1 security force, which is the President’s of the United States helicopter squadron. Emrey served for four years, until September of 2002, when he decided it was time to continue his education both scholastically and through the travel of this incredible planet. Now a grad student, with a B.A. in world history from Sonoma State University, he’s back in the beautiful wine country of Northern California. In 2008 Emrey published his first novel, Diana Agafya.
